Requirements

We recommend you apply to the Teacher Education program when you have completed 60 credit hours and have met the requirements below. Your secondary education advisor will help you decide what is the best time for you.
The following requirements must be met before you can apply:
- completion of 60 credit hours
- minimum overall GPA of 2.50
- completion of ENGL 1311, ENGL 1312, COMM 1301 or 1302, and MATH 1319 or higher for (Liberal Arts Majors) or Math 1508 or higher (College of Science Majors)
- passing the THEA with score of
- 230 in Math
- 220 in Writing
- 230 in Reading
- You may be exempt from parts of the THEA, depending on course grades.
