| Dr. Katja Michael - Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry; Synthesis of Peptides and Proteins with posttranslational modifications, Carbohydrate Chemistry. Dr. James Salvador - Assymetric synthesis. Chiral-stationary phases for high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Dr. Carl Dirk - Optical Materials with special emphasis on nonlinear optics, reverse saturable absorption, dye chemistry, plastic optical fibers, dielectric filter manufacture, color theory, computational chemistry & Museum lighting. Dr. Shizue Mito - Asymmetric catalysis, enantioselective synthesis, transition metal chemistry, green chemistry. Dr. Mito is a new Faculty member joining us in the Fall of 2008. Dr. Jose Nunez - Organic materials with magnetic and optical properties. Dr. Nunez is a new Faculty member joining us in the Spring of 2009. |
