| Jeannine Kennedy, teacher, trainer and enthusiastic learner, has been University of Texas at El Paso staff member for 8 years. Ms. Kennedy taught in Texas public schools for 14 years before joining the staff at UTEP. She provides extensive experience in the K-12 classroom, in university-community outreach, and in working with teachers, including placement of teachers in a summer internships in industry. Her outreach work in UTEP’s College of Engineering resulted in the placement of 125 teachers in private, government and non-profit businesses throughout the city. Ms. Kennedy is happiest when helping university students to prepare for successful employment after graduation. To that end, she prepared and placed engineering undergraduate and graduate students in manufacturing internships in El Paso and Juarez. She is currently responsible for the daily operation of the GK-12 program and is pleased to work with the support staff, cooperating teachers and graduate fellows who engage and mentor El Paso Independent School District middle school students in science.
